Saying "NO"

There are three types of people in this world. The "Yes" people, the "No" people, and of course the "healthy balancers," who seem to have the whole world figured out. I have always found it hard to say no to anyone or anything, but lately I've been trying my best to find more of a healthy balance. Today's post is dedicated to my search of that balance that I crave so much.

Although I believe that it is so important to know and understand your limits, lately I feel like my whole life has been contradicting everything that I know to be true. From working too much to taking on too many new challenges, I'd be lying if I said that there was enough hours in the day to get everything done, because the truth is there's not.

There are 24 hours in a day, 168 hours a week and a total of 8736 hours in a year. Quite frankly that is just not enough time to waste on things that don't make you happy, or things that don't make you stronger or more able as a person. So recently I've been trying to refine my life, spending more time on things that I want to do and less on all that other stuff I try to do to keep everybody else happy.

I guess this outfit is inspired by my newfound ability to say "No." It's okay to be different, edgy and unique. It's okay to wear what you want and choose to do things that you know will make you happy. In today's look I'm wearing my new Primark/Penneys dress as a top, my favourite Boohoo high waisted skinny jeans, a very appropriate Zara bag, and of course my trusty Adidas Superstars. Shop the look and similar below;

Until next time,

  1. Nice post! I am the exact same as you, I rarely ever say no. I am always doing 100 and 1 things and I have come to the stage now where I have to start saying no to different things as I just don't have the time or energy anymore.
