Courage

I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't starting to feel like I'm getting older. I know, ironically 18 year old Sadhbh feels like she's getting old, and she is far too young for a mid life crisis moment. Let's call this a quarter life crisis. I feel as though I am growing up so quickly. Everything is changing. From the way I dress to how I address all that life throws at me, I have changed so much.

Way back when I was 15 I wrote a bucket list of 20 things I wanted to do before I turn 20. Time has flown since I wrote that list of impossibles that I somehow knew I could make possible, but I haven't forgotten about it. Although more than half of it is crossed off, I'm determined to finish the entire list before March 24 2018. I guess that's probably what has induced this "quarter-life crisis"

As scary as it seems to try to reach all those goals that 15 year old me set, part of me is glad that I have a list of things to follow and adventures to embrace before I reach my 20's. I'm glad that I still have time to make embrace being young and free

"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are" - is one of my favourite quotes. It does take courage to grow and change, but it also takes courage to hold on to the same you that sits on your bed at 15 writing the impossible bucket list. 15 year old me is finally helping me realise what really matters in life. Life isn't a race. It's the adventure along the way that counts.

Until next time,

  1. This was so interesting to read - I can feel my style and self changing a lot too and I'm definitely going to write myself a list of things to do before 20 as I'm about to turn 15. xo
