I think we should all face each day with a pocket full of dreams and a handful of determination to get us to where we want to be. It's far too easy to lose sight of who we are and who we want to be, so this week I took some time out with one of my favourites, Ailbhe Woods of The Red Brunette to catch up while we shot this look.
I've been a dreamer for as long as I can remember, and lately my garden of dreams seems never-ending, and even a little daunting at times. They say that if you're dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough.. Luckily, I'm petrified. Everyday I'm asked how I find a balance between study, blogging and just about everything else, but I guess the key is having a vision of where you want to be, and making a plan. It's all about willingness to work hard, and of course self-belief. Setting goals, and always following through.
What better way to face the world than in your favourite floral dress. I feel like everyone needs a cute day-dress in their wardrobe, and this is mine. A dress that gives you killer confidence, but one that you can still wear on the daily. This Topshop pick is my go-to. I just love all the little quirky details, like the open back and the below-the-elbow sleeves. It just has everything I look for in a day dress!
I teamed the look with the cutest Primark/Penneys velvet boots. Nothing says Christmas is on the way more that velvet, so I'm starting to subtly incorporate the Christmas velvet trend into my wardrobe, starting with these boots.
