There's nothing I love more than the sea. I guess that's one of the reasons why coming home at the weekend is so important to me. While city life can, at times, be incomparable, there's something captivating about being by the sea side. Everything about it seems so naturally breath-taking.
"The cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears or the sea" (Isak Dinesen), is a quote that definitely proves itself to be true in my life. There is nothing better than escaping to the beach, going for a run, or even just having a good cry after a long, hard day (well unless you do them all at once. Maybe run to the beach and have a good cry? Anyway that's not the point). The only thing that stops us from healing is ourselves, and for me the sea heals all wounds

Today's outfit is inspired by my cure. I've teamed my favourtie button up denim skirt with a cosy warm knit and a pair of superstars to create this casual, cute Spring look. Yes, I may have been a little bit optimistic without a pair of tights, but I survived! I added a pair of grey frilly socks, matching the jumper, to tie this whole look together. I love how the tiniest details - like my choice of socks - can tie a whole outfit together perfectly. I've popped some clickable links below to some similar faves
I guess the reality is that the sea has taught me how to dream without fear. Each Summer I spend everyday by the sea, or swimming in the sea. It's taught me how to deal with the cold, in more ways than one, and it's taught me that life can be cold sometimes, but that we are all strong enough to cope with that cold, if only we try hard enough
