2015: In Review

On the eve of this New Year, 2016, there is a lot to look back on, a lot to contemplate, and a lot to be grateful for. Who would have thought that so much change could come about in just one year, 365 days. A year to be proud of, a year of growing and a year of finding myself. And while it is important to always look ahead, to find faith in a new year, it is equally as important to celebrate and appreciate a year of change that I have left behind

It has been a year to be grateful for and a year of new beginnings - and I guess it seems only appropriate that I should be thankful to all my followers, friends & family that have been so supportive of everything I have done this past year.

So here's to the people that helped to break me, and the ones that helped to make me. I owe a lot to all you guys - so thank you for helping to shape me into who I am today, and who I will be tomorrow. I am forever grateful for all you have done for me this past year

Thank you,

Chill Vibes

Would it really be Christmas without spending everyday in a pair of cute new pyjamas? I haven't really done much else this Christmas besides embracing pyjama chill time - which is 100% necessary in my survival of the next term, without a doubt! Santa popped this little ensemble under the tree for me, and I must admit I haven't worn much else since! None the less I will have some quality outfit shoots up on the blog ASAP, but anyway, here's today's (and pretty much every days) OOTD

Pyjamas, Next // Shoes, Asos

Stay fabulous,

New Years Resolutions?

I hope you guys all had a holly jolly Christmas, and with New Year's just around the corner, it seems like almost the perfect time to start setting some New Year's Resolutions. Yes, it is easier said than done and more often than not we all give up within the first day, week or month (usually day, but usually that resolution involves not eating chocolate, and seriously that is 100% an unreachable goal - you simply cannot deny yourself your basic human right to Chocolate). But anyway, I'm writing today to talk to you guys about setting reachable, achievable, New Year's Resolutions;

1. Set realistic, attainable goals; Okay, so this one seems pretty obvious, but if we all know that this is how we should set out our resolutions then why aren't we doing it? If your goal is something like Join a gym or Take up Yoga or something that sounds pretty cool but you know you just won't manage it then don't make that your goal! It would be impossible for me to set a goal of joining the gym, with my nearest gym hours away! Remember, if you're trying to get fit and you can't afford to go to a gym, or if it's simply an impossible task for you to get to the gym then look for other options! The gym is not the answer to all your fitness problems.

2. Plan out how you will achieve your goal; These things just won't happen overnight, so you need to just take it slowly - baby steps only. Gradually build yourself up to where you want to be. For example if your goal is to eliminate something completely from your diet/lifestyle, then don't just completely get rid of it in one day, reduce the amount until your body learns to deal with changes, simples okay?

3. Don't be disheartened if it doesn't work out; This is important. Teach yourself to become comfortable with starting again - and never give up. Life will give you lemons whether you like it or not, but it's what you do with these lemons that makes you different, and that makes you strong (wow that didn't sound as cheesy in my head).

4. Reward yourself; This is pretty important in trying to maintain a resolution. Treat yourself on a regular basis - once a month or once a fortnight take time to reward yourself for all that you've done - but if you haven't done anything this is a no go zone. Under no circumstances should you reward yourself for doing nothing full stop.

5. Put your resolutions somewhere where you can see them; Stick them on your fridge, hang them on your bedroom wall - put a copy of them anywhere and everywhere until it becomes practically engraved in the back of your mind. Just do it, okay?

And remember, always get a friend to look over your resolutions, just to help you stay on track and to advise you on whether your goals are realistic, attainable and relevant,

Until next time,

Life Update & Instagram Diary #7

Hola Chicas! My Christmas blogger break has finally ended, and although I've only been gone a week, it feels as though I haven't posted in forever! And what a week it has been - from Christmas Exams to an excessive amount of shopping, life has just been so hectic lately - so here's just a few of the things that I've been up to at the moment, and you guys can catch up with my daily shenanigans over HERE;

I guess it looks like a lot of what I've been up to involves eating, but I promise you it hasn't! I've just finished my Christmas Exams, so I took a trip to Cork with my boyfriend, Eoin, just for some last minute Christmas shopping. Otherwise I guess I've spent a lot of time wrapping Christmas presents - trust me, I'm a pro-wrapper at this stage

Nutella with my name on it?! Yes, my life is 100% complete, I can't even bring myself to open in because it's just too cute, despite my Nutella addictions. We've been decorating the house lately too, and of course Christmas just could not be right without a visit to Santa!

Holla to an honours in my grade 8 piano exam! I was so shocked to see this, considering the fact that I spent the whole day crying after the exam because I thought I failed! And of course a week of exams & study meant that my insta-feek (over HERE) was jam packed with sneaky throwbacks, so pop over and take a look!

Until next time,

Time to Sparkle... NYE Edit

Hola Chicas! It's that time of the year again, so let's give a holla to Christmas and NYE (New Year's Eve) sparkly everything! This year I've picked out a cheap and cheerful sparkly H&M number for myself, but if you guys are looking for something extra special this New Year's then these are my top 5;

1. Brushed Bronze Sequin Dress, Topshop €103
If this style of dress suited my body shape it would 100% be in my wardrobe right now - It is just so perfect! I really love brushed sequins, they're just so cool. Catch this dress right HERE

Topshop are legit nailing the sparkle trend this season! I love this croptop, it's just something a little different for those of you that really aren't feeling a dress this Christmas, and it's super versatile too, which is always great. Pop over HERE to check it out

3. Black Sparkly Bandeau Dress, River Island €87
Is this one worth the money? I'm not 100% sold, but I really love the shape of this piece, and how subtle the sparkle is - so if you're feeling a bit daring and you've got a bit of cash to splash then this one right HERE is probably the one for you

4. Embellished Fringed Top, Topshop €68

December Beauty Favourites

I'm pretty sure I haven't shown you guys all December makeup favourites since this time last year, so I figured it was about time I shared all my must haves - and trust me, alot has changed since last years makeup bag (catch that oldie right HERE

What can I say, I guess my taste in makeup has really evolved since that last post! Right now the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette really is my go to for both day & night look. The brown hues in this palette are just perfect - but hey I won't rant about how great it is here, because I've already written about in over in this post

Hello to Benefit's They're Real Mascara for staying waterproof and keeping me extra fabulous during these Winter days. And of course this Nars Foundation is probably one of the best foundations I've tried - it's just so lightweight I absolutely love it! They're primer really makes a difference too - you legit just have to try it out

Hands up if you were extra proud of Irish Blogger Suzanne Jackson for bringing out her own line of nail polish and all things fabulous?! Unicron Dust and Rock Candy are my all time faves from the nail polish collection. I've been testing out the mini They're Real Mascara too, and I'm still not quite sure if I can commit to buying a full sized version. I'm in the same position with the Nars Orgasm Highlighter - it's good, but I'm not sure if it's really beating my fave Benetint right now

Stay fabulous & extra sparkly,

My Skincare Regime

Hola Chicas! Today I'm just going to share my skin routine with you guys. My skin is usually oily and acne prone, but during the winter I tend to get dry skin too, so here's all my skincare favourites right now;

I switched from Dermalogica's Special Cleansing Gel to the Clean Start Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash a few months ago - and it's really suiting my skin right now. I love how it makes a lather & I find it so much easier to wipe off after too

Again I use a breakout clearing formula Toner - in a spray bottle which is really handy for when I'm in a rush (so basically always). I guess Dermalogica is my go to for pretty much nearly every skincare product I own, simply because it's just so gentle on my skin

Yes, this really is an Oil Clearing Matte Moisturiser and if you've got oily skin like me then you're probably asking yourself why you haven't seen this moisturiser before. It's pretty much legit my favourite thing right now

I picked this masque up a while back when I was experiencing some really shiny skin issues. Did you know that shiny skin often means dehydrated skin? I was so surprised to hear that my skin could be oily and dehydrated at the same time, so I just had to get my hands on one of these

This mask is so good it even has its own post - you guys can check it out right HERE

Because my skin is basically a colony of blackheads, I just had to pick this up to get a bit of control over it. I usually exfoliate in the shower, just to save time, and this scrub really does work wonders

Until next time,
