LUSH: Mask of Magnaminty Review

Super recently I popped into Lush in Cork to find something that would give my skincare regime a bit of a boost, so here's what I picked up; the famed "Mask of Magnaminty," a peppermint mask to help keep your skin at tip-top condition. I really liked the appearance of this one, in its cute little tub, and although the mask itself may be an ugly green and lumpy as hell, I think it definitely seemed organic and nautal, so I felt much better about using it on me skin!

This mask is a face and body mask, but I'm not the biggest fan of putting masks on my body so I only used it on my face. The tub recommends to apply a generous layer of the mask, but steer clear from the eyes (and eyebrows - I don't know how but I always get masks stuck in my eyebrows)

Anyway, down to the nitty gritty; when I applied this first it stung. Yes, oh my goodness it did sting. I know that's usually a sign to take it off but me being me, I decided to stick it out. I left it on for about 7 minutes and I must say I was very impressed when I took this off. The redness in my face had gone down completely and my skin definitely felt uplifted, especially after a week of wearing makeup everyday in a row! I liked the natural smell of this one too, it was a really fresh minty scent, not the toothpaste kind but the oh I just picked it from my garden type. Unfortunately the shelf life of this one isn't so long, but if you use masks regularly, you'll definitely get your money's worth!

Let me know in the comments below if you've tried this one out and what you think of it!

Until next time,
