What's in the bag..?

Yes, I'm back with my very first makeup post here on Sadhbhers. Super recently I've decided to change up my whole makeup bag to opt for prettier and more skin friendly cosmetics (you might have noticed in some of my more recent posts, or on my Instagram account over HERE). So here are my Winter Season faves (thank you Santa for the gorgeous book and some of these bits & bobs!), drop a comment below and let me know yours!

So here's the some of stash, from lipstick to mascara's - this is what I'm wearing this Season. When you're buying makeup, I think it's super important to ALWAYS ask for a second opinion, or advice on what to buy - after all Sale's Assistants are there to help, so let's trust the professionals for once! It's also so important to try foundation before you buy, and no, not on the back of your hand because that's a completely different tone to your face! Foundation is made for your face, so why test it on your hand!

Right now my go to foundation is Bobbi Brown. This was the perfect one for me because I have quite oily skin, and I'm prone to breakouts and this one is oil free! It really tones down oiliness, especially around the T-zone and it's finally a foundation that doesn't lead to unwanted breakouts. I picked this one up in Brown Thomas - but it definitely took a bit of time to choose.  This tone is "Sand 2," which one of the lovely Sale Assistants helped me pick out! Applying it before buying is definitely key to getting any foundation, and at the end of the day I think it's safe to say that pretty much all of us want to avoid the "Oompa Loompa" tag, nor do we want to look a bit like orangutans, so don't be afraid to test a few and ask for help before choosing what's right for you!

Aand I think it's safe to say that we're all on a journey to find the perfect red lippy - so here's mine! This one is from Rihanna's Viva Glam Collection. I chose the "Frost" shade, and I'm in love with it ever since! The colour can carry you straight through any Season, and I think that's one of the things I love about it the most. It also has a slight glossiness, so for the girls like me who aren't quite fans of the over glossy look but still want a bit of shine, this is the one to choose! Better still, Mac lipstick always always smells like vanilla, so yes this is love. I teamed this with a "Cherry" lipliner, to avoid any bleeding.

And of course the new founded, cannot live without mascara "They're Real," by Benefit is starting to play a serious role in my makeup bag! No clumps, no fuss, easy application and better still a really natural look, what's not to love?

If you love rosy cheeks as much as I do, Benefit's "Benetint," is a MUST have! At first, yes I was a bit doubtful, but simply apply to your cheek and blend it in and it offers a long lasting, rosy colour! Better still, you can use it as a liptint too, so it's definitely worth a try!

Yes, these are my new lust haves this Christmas! I adore Mac's "Stubborn Brown" eyeliner, it gives a really effortless natural look. This came in an absolutely gorgeous gift set with beautiful matching eye shadow and mascara. These colours are "Just Gleaming" and "Stolen Moment." They really add to the Au Natural vibe! When I got this mascara there was definitely a controversy on which one I prefer, but over all I think they're super similar, so let me know in the comments which one you think should win!
