SS17 Trend Report

If you've been following me on Snapchat (sadhbh4), Instagram, or Facebook then I guess you've probably already noticed that Spring is one of my favourtie Seasons, followed closely by Summer. There's something so refreshing about reaching into the back of your wardrobe for your favourite floral day dress to beat those post-Winter blues. Spring symbolises a new year, fresh starts and new beginnings. I love seeing all this feed into my wardrobe, so today is all about my fave SS17 trends

Pastels seem to reemerge from the wilderness every Spring, just to bring some light back into your life. They're so versatile and wearable. This season pastel pink is topping the charts, taking the form of anything and everything from cute suit pants to frilly dresses. I spotted this dress at the New Look SS17 press day (you might have spotted it over on my Instagram), and it seems to embody everything I love about Spring. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Just like your favourite sheer pieces, embroidery was so in last season, and this trend is even bigger this Spring. This trend can really bring a whole look together, and lately I've been loving everything from embroidered heels to handbags. It's all about adding little details to your look to make a mega difference

I am so happy that gingham is back in the Spring/Summer. For me, nothing says it's Summer like a cute gingham dress. Although it's a really bold trend, you can incorporate it subtly with your fave gingham heels, or a cute headband

Sheer pieces were on everyone's list of must haves last season, and thankfully they're here to stay this season. I love this trend, it;s so flirty and fun. While this Irish weather doesn't always agree with some of your fave sheer pieces, try teaming them with longer t-shirts to beat this cold weather

Hello florals! Who doesn't love this trend, in all honesty? I am a mega fan of florals, but I feel like you have to be a little bit careful with the pieces you choose within this trend. I tend to avoid any floral pieces that are more tight-fitting because it stretches out the images and you're left wearing a deformed bunch of flowers that look a little bit like your dog may have accidentally-on-purpose sat on them. Looser pieces are always my go-to when I'm styling this trend

Until next time,
