Autumn Essentials

It's time to stop pretending that there's any chance of some proper Summer sunshine - Autumn is finally in full swing and I'm so excited for a season full of woolly knits, cute braids and, of course, an endless supply of Hot Chocolate. There's some things I simply cannot live without during October, so while the year prepares for it's last, loveliest smile, it's time for you to prepare for short days, long nights and of course the glorious sweater weather that awaits.

So, here's what you'll need

1. Fluffy Blankets: There is no better feeling in this world than snuggling up on the couch with a fluffy blanket, am I right? I found mine in IKEA, but as per usual, Primark/Penneys have you covered, I promise

2. A Sturdy Umbrella: I'm not talking the €4 one you found in the sale section in Penneys - this is Ireland we're living in, so let's be a little bit more realistic - the last thing you want is for your life to turn into a little Mary Poppins scenario with you flying off into the distance. Tiger currently stock a nice range of brollies, and they're not all that expensive either, so make sure you pop in and take a look

3. Hot Chocolate: Need I say anymore?

4. Woolly Jumpers: And of course, more importantly, the five million layers you're going to wear under the woolly jumper - trust me on this one, you'll need them

5. Fluffy Socks: For around the house only. It is way too tempting to wear these out in public, but promise me you won't do it!

6. Cosy Pyjamas: I feel like we, as a society, underestimate the powers of a good pair of cosy jamjams - and if you don't have a pair, then you're really missing out

7. A Good Winter Jacket: Finding one of these is easier said that done. I'm still on the prowl for a good staple winter jacket, but for now I'm wearing my all time Zara fave - it does the job, so what more could I possibly ask for?

Until next time,
