Home

Today's post is brought to you from the comfort of my own home, and I'm not going to lie - it feels good to be back, even if it's just for the weekend! Today I decided to take some time out with my sister, photographer and best friend to shoot this super casual look. I love to take every opportunity at home to wear really comfortable clothes, so I guess this look embodies my home life - effortless and cosy, and chic

I love spending time by the sea when I'm at home, but if you're following me on Instagram (@sadhbhers), then I guess you already know that! I'm a firm believer that the cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears and the sea - so after spending two weeks away from home, this weekend was exactly what I needed to get everything back on track

If there's one Autumn/Winter wardrobe essential you cannot live without, it's a good turtleneck jumper. I picked up this piece in H&M last week, and I'm not going to lie - it's probably the cosiest knit I own. Mom jeans are also my faves for lounging around the house when I'm at home, so I guess essentially this look is saying a major Amen to comfort! Topshop always have the ultimate pair in store, but I picked up my budget mom jeans in H&M

These platform boots have always been a firm favourite of mine, they're so quirky and different. I've teamed these with this look just to give it a little bit more of an edge, and of course, as far as boots go - these are the most comfortable ones I've ever owned! I picked these up in H&M two years ago, so it's pretty hard to find a similar pair, but any black boot would work with this look

Until next time,

Explore

There's nothing I love more than taking time out to explore. Life is all about meeting new people, experiencing new things and making memories, so in the midst of college life and looming assignment deadlines, I managed to take some time out with The Red Brunette, Ailbhe Woods, to head to her favourite spot in the city for a little downtime. If you've been following me for a while, then I guess you'll know that the word "downtime" generally doesn't feature in my vocabulary - so it was nice to find somewhere quiet to shoot this look

T-Shirts, Primark/Penneys | Skirt, New Look | Heels, Primark/Penneys | Purse, Michael Kors | Choker, New Look

The move to the city left me feeling a little bit claustrophobic at first. Being so far from the sea just seems so uncomfortable - but when I found this spot I felt a little bit more like I was at home again. It's so quiet, yet you can see nearly the entire city!

I absolutely adore metallics this season. Something about them just reminds me that Christmas is on the way, so naturally I couldn't leave this pastel pink metallic skirt behind me when I spotted it in New Look a few weeks ago. I decided to team the look with orange Primark/Penneys heels and my favourite Michael Kors purse - just to add a pop of colour to the look.

I decided to layer two Primark/Penneys recent purchase on top, simply because I cannot deal with how cold it is lately! It's really time to start layering up, so next time you see me I'll probably look three stone heavier, but I promise you it's not me - it's just the layers!

Until next time,

Autumn Essentials

It's time to stop pretending that there's any chance of some proper Summer sunshine - Autumn is finally in full swing and I'm so excited for a season full of woolly knits, cute braids and, of course, an endless supply of Hot Chocolate. There's some things I simply cannot live without during October, so while the year prepares for it's last, loveliest smile, it's time for you to prepare for short days, long nights and of course the glorious sweater weather that awaits.

So, here's what you'll need

1. Fluffy Blankets: There is no better feeling in this world than snuggling up on the couch with a fluffy blanket, am I right? I found mine in IKEA, but as per usual, Primark/Penneys have you covered, I promise

2. A Sturdy Umbrella: I'm not talking the €4 one you found in the sale section in Penneys - this is Ireland we're living in, so let's be a little bit more realistic - the last thing you want is for your life to turn into a little Mary Poppins scenario with you flying off into the distance. Tiger currently stock a nice range of brollies, and they're not all that expensive either, so make sure you pop in and take a look

3. Hot Chocolate: Need I say anymore?

4. Woolly Jumpers: And of course, more importantly, the five million layers you're going to wear under the woolly jumper - trust me on this one, you'll need them

5. Fluffy Socks: For around the house only. It is way too tempting to wear these out in public, but promise me you won't do it!

6. Cosy Pyjamas: I feel like we, as a society, underestimate the powers of a good pair of cosy jamjams - and if you don't have a pair, then you're really missing out

7. A Good Winter Jacket: Finding one of these is easier said that done. I'm still on the prowl for a good staple winter jacket, but for now I'm wearing my all time Zara fave - it does the job, so what more could I possibly ask for?

Until next time,

Town Mouse

So much has changed since I last updated you guys on city life. Everything is so different here, and I guess it reminds me of a book I had as a child; The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse, the town mouse living a luxurious city life, and the country mouse enjoying the security of its own home. While my life is far from lavish, it is very different to country life - and I guess that's probably the biggest change that I've had to experience so far

There's so much I love about the city, especially when I compare this big bad world to my home in rural west Cork, but just like the country mouse it seems as though something is missing, and it's hard to figure out what that something is

There's something about home that can't ever be replaced. Something about the winding roads and the rolling sea that never seems to be far from thought. At the same time, there's something about becoming the city mouse that makes city life so desirable - but I guess being able to go home every weekend really creates a balance in my life

Today's outfit is really city mouse inspired, but of course I've managed to add a little bit of what home means to me with my favourite leaf necklace. It's so delicate, yet it makes such a statement.

To complete the City Mouse look, I popped on my favourite Primark/Penneys Heels and got my hands on a cute pair of Topshop pants. I really love the bright grey colour - it's so versatile and transitional

Your favourite Town Mouse,
