Be Green

Another day, another outfit! It's been a while since I've shared some of my current go-to pieces with you guys, but don't worry - there's lots more to come in the coming weeks. Today's look is all about staying youthful, innocent and playful. Life is too short to follow the rules - and today's outfit really embodies that.

Jacket, Zara // Top, Zara // Jeans, Boohoo // Shoes, Primark.Penneys

It seems as though everyone has a khaki green military style jacket at the moment, so as you can imagine I was delighted when I found this piece in Zara. I always keep an eye out for something unique and different - so when I saw this jacket I fell in love. The embroidery on the back is just so fitting in today's society, where everyone's trying too hard to grow up too fast. I, for one, am content with staying young and innocent for as long as possible

For me, life is about laughing, even when you really shouldn't and dancing when you know you can't. It's about early mornings and late nights and all the memories made along the way.

But I guess more often than not we forget. We forget to laugh and love, and sing and dance. So today's look is dedicated to staying green, youthful and optimistic. I've paired my favourite high waisted Boohoo jeans with a recent Zara purchase. I absolutely adore this top. It's really different and quirky!

As for the shoes? Well, of course I teamed this look with my all time favourite Primark/Penneys brogues. Although they may be getting a bit tattered and over-worn, I don't think I'm ever going to not love them!

Until next time,

An Evening with Erika Fox

Hola Chicas! If you're following me on Snapchat (which you totally should - sadhbh4), then I guess you've probably already noticed that these last few days have been pretty hectic. Nonetheless I managed to find the time to pop out the the Cork International Hotel on Monday night for a meetup with the renowned Irish Fashion and Lifestyle blogger, Erika Fox of Retro Flame. Although my decision to attend the event was super impulsive, I'm beyond delighted that I finally met one of Ireland's top bloggers and of course the most inspiring role model of our time for young Irish women

They say you should never meet your inspirations, so I guess I was a bit apprehensive about meeting Erika. However she was the most down to earth person I have ever met, and in a way it seemed as though we had known her since, well forever!

I attended the event with my friend and fellow blogger Ailbhe Woods of The Red Brunette
, and overall the night was beyond successful. From the champagne reception and nibbles on arrival to the goody bags waiting for us in the conference room, it was definitely worth skipping a few hours of study!

I was really impressed by the attention to detail at the event. Everything from Erika's Depop rail to her favourite Ballymaloe Relish in the goodie bags really brought the whole event together!

Until next time,

Life Lately: Moving Out & Settling In

Life has been beyond hectic lately, so I figured it was about time I shared a little life update with you guys! If you're following me on Snapchat (sadhbh4), or even on Twitter or Instagram, then I guess you already know that my life has been full of change. Everything seems so new and different - from moving out to starting college - and I'm only just about beginning to settle in. I guess I expected lots of minor adjustments, but trust me, there's been a lot of major ones along the way too, so here's what's been happening in my life lately;

Moving Out

I guess for most of us the big move is the most daunting of all these changes, and while it may seem simple enough, who would have thought that cooking and cleaning would take so much time. I guess it really makes me appreciate the little things, like my dads mashed potatoes, and even my sisters singing! It's not all that bad though, I promise! It's great to have my own space - and of course I'm so lucky to be living with the nicest bunch of girls, which really makes the move that little bit easier

My Course

I'm not going to lie, I was really worried that the course I chose wouldn't suit me. I spent the days before and even after the CAO Change of Mind deadline contemplating which course would be best for me (you can change your mind after the deadline FYI). I put Commerce with Irish on the top of my application, and so far I'm delighted that I did. Everything about the course suits me and seems to be pointing me in the right direction career-wise
My Life

As you know, so much has changed within the past few weeks that my routine is completely all over the place (hence the lack of blog posts). I seem to be busy pretty much all of the time, but as I begin to settle in, I'm sure that it won't be long until everything goes back to normal!

Until next time,

"Koko K" Gloss - The Review

If you've been following me on Instagram, Twitter, or even Snapchat (sadhbh4), then you probably already know that I've been obsessing over Kylie Cosmetics ever since I bought the "Koko K" lipkit (which you can read all about right HERE). I loved the shade so much just a few weeks ago when I was organising the super fab giveaway that I'm running at the moment over on Facebook and Instagram, I decided to treat myself the the "Koko K" gloss. Was it as good as the matte lippy? Find out below..

As usual, it's really difficult to find any faults with Kylie's totally insta-worthy packaging. What's not to love? I'm not gonna lie, I was a little apprehensive when I saw the wand - I think I'd prefer something more sturdy. Despite that, the gloss is just as pretty as the matte - I promise!

The gloss came to $15, which is about €13.That seems like a pretty good price until you factor in the $15 shipping fee, so I guess if you're thinking of buying a gloss, I'd really recommend that you buy something else too - just so you're not spending all that money on one product! I bought the limited edition Leo lipkit with this (which I've popped into my giveaway, so make sure you head over HERE to enter!)

Like pretty much all of Kylie's other products, the gloss is pretty pigmented, but I would definitely recommend wearing a liner underneath, just to make sure it doesn't stray - you could even wear it over a "Koko K" matte!

Compared to the matte "Koko K," the shade does seem slightly different, which is a little disappointing to be honest, but either way I really do love the shade! I'm not usually a gloss kind of gal, but I think this Kylie Cosmetics pick has definitely converted me!

Until next time,

Urban Decay X Alice Through the Looking Glass

Hola Chicas! If you're following me on Snapchat (sadhbh4) then I guess you'll already know that I have been lusting over the Urban Decay X Alice Through the Looking Glass eyeshadow palette for far too long - and after months (yes, literally months) of searching I have finally managed to get  my hands on it! Was it really worth the wait? Find out below..

I guess it's pretty safe to say that Urban Decay is no stranger to creating the most photogenic packaging imaginable. Everything about this - from the little messages to the hidden butterfly - just screams Alice in Wonderland, and I guess that's part of the reason why I just had to have this palette. Urban Decay are known for thinking outside the box, so I guess anything less would have been disappointing

This palette came to a grand total of €49 (in Debenhams, Mahon Point Shopping Centre). With a total of 20 shadows, this means that each one costs €2.45 - which I was pretty impressed with!

It's pretty clear that this palette is super versatile. From neutral hues to daring shades, it seems to have a bit of everything. The palette is arrange in columns, bottom to top, each of which represent a character from Alice Through the Looking Glass (Alice, the Mad Hatter, Mirana, Iracebeth and Time), which I am a major fan of. Not only does it give you all the shades you could possibly need, but it also matches the shades for you, which is super handy for a lil' bit of makeup inspo

Okay, so if I really have to go picking faults - then I guess I have to talk about the palette's pigmentation. I'm not going to lie - I was slightly disappointed when I realised that I'd have to wear an eyeshadow primer with these shadows for full colour pay-off.

Although variety is the spice of life, there's definitely some shades that I prefer over all the others. Without a primer, paradox seemed to disappoint, however the shades Royal Flush and Looking Glass seemed really natural and of course perfect for everyday use

So overall, would I recommend this palette? Of course, but don't stress out if you can't get your hands on it - Urban Decay seem to be upping their game everyday, and it won't be long until the makeup world goes crazy over something new (*cough* the Moondust palette is divine)
