How to Beat the January Blues

Yes, it is that time of the year again when we're all down in the post Christmas dumps and we all need a little bit of a boost, so here's of my top 5 tips to beat those January Blues!

1. Exercise! It's time to get up, get out and get active. Yes it does take a while to convince yourself it's worth it, but trust me it is! I'm following a running plan from Ireland's Operation Transformation, you can check it out and get lots more deets over HERE. And just to make it that bit easier, you can find some super cute, super affordable sports gear over in H&M, Boohoo, Miss Guided and Forever 21. Trust me, once you look the part, you'll feel the part!

2. Read More; Yes, whether it's your favourite mag or an oh-so-cheesy John Green novel, it's time to get reading. I always find reading so relaxing so pick up a book and try something new! After all, New Year - New You!

3. Write More; Okay, so your now self is thinking OMG that's not going to happen but trust me, the absolute best feeling is looking back on something you wrote when you were younger. So save the memories, whether they're good or bad - it's worth it, so check out some cute diaries over at Paperchase!

4. Wear Brighter Colours; No, I'm not talking blinding yellow, but try adding a pop of pastels to your wardrobe for a fresher look. Happy colours, happy thoughts!

5. Go to bed earlier; Okay, I'm definitely not winning at this one considering the fact that it's 21:44 and I still have to do the washing up, but seriously, this makes a difference! You'll look better, feel better and maybe you'll even become that really annoying person that just loves mornings!

Don't forget to drop a line to let me know how you beat those January Blues!

Rainy Days

I absolutely love rainy days (okay, okay, as long as I've got an umbrella so my hair doesn't go too cray..) so here's probably one of my favouritest Rainy Day outfits aand probably the cutest OOTD's yet! I absolutely adore this quirky raincoat, so take a look at how I styled it below in the 5 billion  pictures - I really couldn't narrow it down to my faves!

Raincoat, Pull & Bear // Dress, H&M // Shorts, H&M //Tights, Primark // Doc Martens, Schuh // Necklace, Pandora

I must say I absolutely love this cute little picnic dress! It's so versatile and works really well through each season - better still it was super affordable so I just couldn't say no to this one! And of course every girl needs a pair of docs. Yes, they are expensive but they are so worth it, they're just so comfy and they look so fun! And of course the undershorts - the shorts that make every short dress acceptable, seriously we all need these and they're super affordable over at H&M

Golden Globes: Best & Worst Dressed

Yes, it's possibly one of the biggest Awards Ceremonies of the year and it's definitely a make it or break it situation for fashion statuses - so here's a few of my favourite aaand not so favourites

Emma Stone

Emma Stone's look is a definite winner for me in this Lanvin number, and proabably one of my favourites of the night. I absolutely love this effortlessly chic, fun look, and it has the perfect amount of sparkle for the Red Carpet. Simplicity has to be a winner for me every time.

Goldani

Julia Goldani comes in very close second for me, wearing this beautiful Carmen Marc Valvo dress. Again, it was the simplicity of this piece that won me over, and the colour looks absolutely beautiful against the red carpet

Lupita

Lupita Nyongo looked absolutely stunning in this Giambattista Valli Couture piece. I love how she opted for something completely different, and the 3D flowers on the bust are just fab. The colour really looked great against her skin tone while her makeup worked really well with the whole look

Reese Witherspoon looked like the mega star that she is in a beaded silver Calvin Klein gown and Tiffany diamonds. Perhaps one of the most admired look from the red carpet! Julianne Moore looked stunning in a custom Givenchy gown. The sequin and feather fAlways a red carpet "best dressed" - Amy Adams didn't disappoint. Her steely-grey-blue Versace gown was a movie-star worthy look for the nigDakota Johnson is having a moment. She will debut in one of the most talked about (and eagerly awaited) movies of the year, "50 Shades Of Gr

And of course there's always gonna be the one's that get it very, very wrong:

Kiera Knightley definitely wore my least favourite outfit of the night. Yes, she is preggers, but this outfit still does her zero favours. Definietly too many frills going on. That said, she was definitely not alone in the "Worst Dressed" lists of the Golden Globes 2015. Rosamund Pike is a close second with this really ill fitted dress. As a dress alone, this piece is beautiful - but it is definitely not made for her body and doesn't do her any favours. Kerry Washington's dress is a no no for me too this red carpet season. Although it's not as bad as the others, I'm definitely not a fan of this oh-so-odd body con look and the fabric pattern isn't the best for this piece. Maybe if it was floor length she could have pulled it off, but for now it's a no.

Make sure you let me know your faves in the comments belooww..

Hello 2015!

Yes, it's that time of the year again. Yes, maybe some of us are a few pounds heavier than we were two weeks ago, but hellooo 2015!! It's time for a change, it's time to make millions of resolutions we will never be able to follow through on and it's time to get past the post-holiday sadness. Aaand of course it is that time of the year when I'd like to take a bit of time to say thank you to all you guys that made my dreams pretty much a reality! Thank you so much to all of you that have supported me along this little blogosphere journey, with all your lovely comments both online and in person - it means the absolute world to me! I really wasn't expecting the hugely positive response that I've received from all you guys and it's really kept me on track. So let's make this year the best one!(***no Debbie-Downers aloud***)

So here's a little summary of pretty much all the outfits I've shown you guys in the past year that could not have happened without all your love & support! This time last year I never would have thought I would be behind the camera taking all these shots! And of course don't forget to check out the new Bucket List tab above to take a peek at all my silly goals for this year!

The Christmas OOTN

Yes, I am a bit (okay not just a bit) late to be posting this outfit, but it's finally here! Possibly one of my fave outfits & least fave photographs - here it is, the Christmas Outfit of the day/night

This little number was a present from one of my favouritest people ever - you can find it in Topshop. I really loveedd the soft velvet look, very seasonal. The lace detailing on the back is really edgy so it really adds the perfect twist to this super soft look!

Playsuit, Topshop // Necklace, H&M // Tights, Primark // Shoes, H&M

Apologies for the oh-so-rushed photography/writing/everything, but I guess it's understandable what with the Christmas rush and all,

Until next time,
