Time to Sparkle.. NYE

Yes, it's that oh-so-special time of the year that we've all been waiting for, and of course it's that one night when it's almost illegal not to sparkle, so break out all that glitters because finally it's okay to shine more than your Christmas tree!

My NYE Faves:

Aaand here are my top NYE picks - Yes we want to sparkle, but don't overdo it, mixing textures is a really great way of enhancing the sparkle and it helps to make sure that you wear the outfit - the outfit doesn't wear you. I love warm sparkles, like outfit 2 & 5 they're really inviting but sometimes the cooler colours can give you more of an edge. I love the first outfit - metallics let you sparkle without even wearing sparkles!

I chose these pieces from Boohoo, Topshop, New Look and River Island so make sure you order tonight so that they can arrive on time (don't forget to choose next day delivery!) Just click on the pictures below and you'll be linked direct to their sites

Make sure to watch this space for more NYE updates!

What's in the bag..?

Yes, I'm back with my very first makeup post here on Sadhbhers. Super recently I've decided to change up my whole makeup bag to opt for prettier and more skin friendly cosmetics (you might have noticed in some of my more recent posts, or on my Instagram account over HERE). So here are my Winter Season faves (thank you Santa for the gorgeous book and some of these bits & bobs!), drop a comment below and let me know yours!

So here's the some of stash, from lipstick to mascara's - this is what I'm wearing this Season. When you're buying makeup, I think it's super important to ALWAYS ask for a second opinion, or advice on what to buy - after all Sale's Assistants are there to help, so let's trust the professionals for once! It's also so important to try foundation before you buy, and no, not on the back of your hand because that's a completely different tone to your face! Foundation is made for your face, so why test it on your hand!

Right now my go to foundation is Bobbi Brown. This was the perfect one for me because I have quite oily skin, and I'm prone to breakouts and this one is oil free! It really tones down oiliness, especially around the T-zone and it's finally a foundation that doesn't lead to unwanted breakouts. I picked this one up in Brown Thomas - but it definitely took a bit of time to choose.  This tone is "Sand 2," which one of the lovely Sale Assistants helped me pick out! Applying it before buying is definitely key to getting any foundation, and at the end of the day I think it's safe to say that pretty much all of us want to avoid the "Oompa Loompa" tag, nor do we want to look a bit like orangutans, so don't be afraid to test a few and ask for help before choosing what's right for you!

Aand I think it's safe to say that we're all on a journey to find the perfect red lippy - so here's mine! This one is from Rihanna's Viva Glam Collection. I chose the "Frost" shade, and I'm in love with it ever since! The colour can carry you straight through any Season, and I think that's one of the things I love about it the most. It also has a slight glossiness, so for the girls like me who aren't quite fans of the over glossy look but still want a bit of shine, this is the one to choose! Better still, Mac lipstick always always smells like vanilla, so yes this is love. I teamed this with a "Cherry" lipliner, to avoid any bleeding.

And of course the new founded, cannot live without mascara "They're Real," by Benefit is starting to play a serious role in my makeup bag! No clumps, no fuss, easy application and better still a really natural look, what's not to love?

If you love rosy cheeks as much as I do, Benefit's "Benetint," is a MUST have! At first, yes I was a bit doubtful, but simply apply to your cheek and blend it in and it offers a long lasting, rosy colour! Better still, you can use it as a liptint too, so it's definitely worth a try!

Yes, these are my new lust haves this Christmas! I adore Mac's "Stubborn Brown" eyeliner, it gives a really effortless natural look. This came in an absolutely gorgeous gift set with beautiful matching eye shadow and mascara. These colours are "Just Gleaming" and "Stolen Moment." They really add to the Au Natural vibe! When I got this mascara there was definitely a controversy on which one I prefer, but over all I think they're super similar, so let me know in the comments which one you think should win!

And of course I'm going to love you and leave you guys with some wise words from this beauty. I hope you all made this Christmas a good one! And remember, head over HERE to like my Facebook page!

Fly Away

Aaand I'm back! Christmas exams are finally well and truly over, so I figured I deserved a little treat (retail therapy ssshh..). So here's my latest and greatest outfit post, featuring pieces from Topshop, River Island and Office

This is definitely one of my favourite lazy day looks. I'm always on a mission to find the perfect pair of jeans, and I thing these are definitely my number one pair at the moment. I take a size 28 28 at Topshop. I love their sizings, whether your super short or oh-so-tall, you'll definitely find a pair you love in Topshop. What's really cool about these ones is the length - I love how the end above the ankle - it's really edgy and it gives the whole look a unique, fun vibe. Better still, they offer plenty of opportunities to show off some uber cute frilly socks (3 pairs for €10 in Topshop - who couldn't resist..?)

I teamed these jeans with this uber cute Topshop croptop. I love the quality and the colours of the top - definitely a must have for Christmas. The makeup really adds a pop of colour to the look, and brings out the reds in my top. Both the top and jeans are new to Topshop, so catch them while you can!

I got these fab kicks as a present last Christmas, and they're still one of my favourite Autumn/Winter pairs! The detailing on these work really well with my top, and pretty much pull the outfit together - and although you can't quite see them - yes I am wearing frilly socks! These are last years Converse collection at office.

Today is a Good Day.

Aand I'm back with yet another outfit post! I'm absolutely loving this oh-so-cold weather, it's the perfect time to dig out the masses of comfy sweaters and wooly knits from the back of my wardrobe! I picked up this one super recently though, so make sure you catch it while it's still on the rails!

Shirt, H&M // Jumper, Zara // Jeans, H&M // Shoes, Converse (limited eds)

This shoot was probably the cutest I've done yet (especially with my favourite childhood friend, Mutley on the left!). I love the Autumnal colours I used in this post, they're a sure sign that winter is finally getting into full swing, and yes I am already counting the days till Christmas but that's besides the point! I must say for me hoodies are usually an at-home-only thing to wear, but this one really breaks all the rules. Everything from the slogan to the colours is just really on point for me this Season.

I love, love, love these Cons. You can probably tell they're a bit battered at this stage, but I've had them for yonkers so I guess that's kinda understandable! I rolled down the high-tops to mix up the look a little - there's just so many ways you can style your cons! Keeping with my reminiscent theme, I paired these with some mismatched socks and messy hair! Lucky for you guys, all the rest of the pieces I'm wearing are recent purchases, so you should be able to find them online or instore. I really love the smart/casual contrast in this look. The tailored shirt really adds a bit of class to this oversized hoodie.

Shorts & Shirts

Hay, hey hey! You guys have probably noticed the lack of posts lately, but trust me a lot has been going on behind the scenes over here! From viruses on my laptop to family holidays, it's been really hectic lately - but I'm super happy with this look, so let me know what you think!

Shirt, H&M // Shorts, Zara // Shoes, H&M // Hat, H&M // Bracelet, Links of London

You guys will be glad to know that all these pieces are super recent purchases, so it shouldn't be too hard to find your faves online! I really love the whole Winter vibes associated with this outfit. Everything from the autumnal colours to the pretty patterns screams so on trend this Winter. Better still, just team it with knee high socks or tights for those oh so cold winter days!

Yes, I do think it is safe to say I'm in LOVE with these shoes! I saw them on a H&M instagram post and I just had to have them! They're really quirky and unique and yes they do make you feel super tall without the sore feet from your regular heels!

I really loved styling this outfit, it's really starting to feel like Christmas over here so watch out for all my Winter favourites this season on Sadhbhers!

Bruised: Halloween Makeup

Yes, I will be the first to admit that I'm probably the worst at doing makeup - but Halloween is a definite exception! Check out this look I created using only an eyeshadow palette from Primark/Penneys

Halloween is definitely one of my favourite times of the year so I love playing around with makeup! This look is probably the easiest because you'll find everything you need in your very own makeup bag!

When you're creating your look, it's really important to use lots of purples or reds to give a more realistic look - yes it sounds silly now, but try it out and see how it goes!

Happy Halloween!

I absolutely LOVE the dress - and yes you won't get so much wear out of it during the Winter, but you'll be digging it out of the back of your wardrobe by the time Summer comes around!

 Alice In Wonderland

My next pick is this super alternative Superman (or woman or whatever you like to call it) outfit! You can practically pull this one together from all the bits and pieces you have at home other than the t-shirt, but don't worry you'll easily find one on Amazon, eBay or even Primark/Penneys!
